Cyber Security Engineer – Protect, Innovate, and Lead

Location: Horsham, London, or Mansfield (Hybrid) - 1 day per week in either location
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Are you ready to take your cybersecurity expertise to the next level? We’re seeking a dynamic Cyber Security Engineer to join our innovative team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation’s most valuable assets.

This is your chance to make a real impact by enhancing our Data Loss Prevention (DLP), SIEM, and Incident Response capabilities while leveraging cutting-edge Azure technologies like Microsoft Sentinel and Purview.

What You'll Be Doing as a Cyber Security Engineer:

  • Managing Microsoft Sentinel for top-tier threat detection and response.

  • Leveraging Microsoft Purview to protect data and mitigate risks.

  • Performing detailed SIEM log analysis and proactive threat hunting.

  • Leading incident response efforts to investigate, contain, and recover from security breaches.

  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and working with teams to strengthen our cyber defences.

  • Staying ahead of emerging cyber threats, sharing knowledge, and promoting best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience focusing on SIEM, threat hunting, and incident response.

  • Hands-on expertise with DLP and SIEM tools like Microsoft Sentinel and Purview.

  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud security and advanced threat detection techniques.

  • Familiarity with frameworks like ISO27001, NIST-CSF, and UK GDPR compliance.

  • A proactive, detail-oriented team player with exceptional analytical and communication skills.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.

  • A passion for continuous learning and exploring new cybersecurity tools and techniques.
