Our client, a well-renowned small business with exciting global clients is looking to recruit a Senior Security Systems Engineer for their growing business. This Senior Engineer role will facilitate successful delivery through the installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning process while maintaining and improving standards. They are looking for a candidate with physical security systems experience (CCTV, Access control, etc.) so you MUST have worked with those systems! Location: London - 90% of your time will be spent on client sites across London so you must live within M25

Salary: up to 52,000 - flexible depending on candidate experience!

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of installations 1st and 2nd fix (either direct or through management of engineers or subcontractors)
  • Training and commissioning
  • Project handover and documentation
  • Technical support and troubleshooting for clients and Engineers
  • Implementing and overseeing the quality assurance for Engineers
  • Liaise with clients and attend site meetings
  • Engage with our internal procurement team and suppliers to ensure a successful delivery of projects
  • Issue progress summary reports on the status of projects to our Project managers or Clients
  • Review and update on Engineers training requirements and their appraisal status
  • Attend internal meetings with the operations team to improve best practices and processes

Skills and Abilities

  • Industry experience working within security installations and servicing companies
  • Previously worked in a security systems engineer role
  • You MUST be familiar with physical security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intercom systems, Entrance lanes etc.)
  • Experienced at installing security systems with speed and accuracy
  • The ability to review site plans and engineer notes and provide feedback and advice to colleagues, fit-out contractors and clients
  • Good understanding of networking (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, switching)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented engineer
  • Practical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate activities at multiple sites
  • Time-management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Works well under pressure
  • IT literacy, MS Office and ideally proficient in the use of work management applications
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IP technology
  • Project QA and close-out report writing
  • A proven problem solver
  • Experience in integrating multiple systems e.g. hardwire link access control and intruder alarm
  • Familiar with installations to NSI standards
  • Full and clean UK car driving license
