Summary of Role
You will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions for our clients.
What you will be doing
- Installing and configuring CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, recording equipment, and network connections, based on client specifications and industry best practices.
- Conducting routine maintenance to ensure CCTV systems are in optimal working condition. Identifying and resolving hardware, software, or network issues promptly. Planning and executing system upgrades as needed.
- Investigating and resolving CCTV system malfunctions through detailed fault finding and diagnostic processes. Identifying and rectifying technical issues involving cameras, cables, monitors, power supplies, and network connections.
- Upgrades and Enhancements: Working closely with clients to understand their evolving security needs and recommending appropriate system upgrades or enhancements. Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to source required components and implement system enhancements.
- Maintaining accurate records of installed CCTV systems, including layout diagrams, system configurations, and maintenance schedules. Producing detailed reports regarding system performance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and upgrades.
- Ensuring all installed CCTV systems comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, such as data protection and privacy laws in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Providing exceptional customer service by offering guidance and support to clients in setting up and using CCTV systems effectively. Responding promptly to client inquiries and service requests.
What we will need from you
- Solid experience in CCTV system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard CCTV equipment, software, and tools.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, LAN, and network cabling.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and privacy standards.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members
