Contract: Permanent, full-time hours, 52 weeks a year, part-time and flexible working considered, hybrid working available

About this role

This is a new and exciting role. We are looking for a dynamic Careers Mentoring Project Lead to join the Trust central team and spearhead the innovative mentoring programme across the Trust.

The Careers programme aims to increase awareness of different career paths and enhance students’ personal development, foster confidence, and develop essential skills necessary for future success. 

This mentoring programme aims to provide every Year 12 student with access to a mentor, making mentoring an integral component of each school's career programme. 

A significant part of the role is managing student recruitment and engagement in the careers mentoring programme and recruiting careers mentors from various sectors, including industry professionals. This will require strategic planning, creativity and determination to ensure the project’s success and sustainability.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience required

-          Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience

-          GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)

-          NVQ Level 6 in Career Guidance is desirable

-          In-depth understanding of the impact and importance of mentoring and success in schools

-          Experience of leading and managing careers focused projects

-          Excellent communication and organisation skills
