The Role of Employee Relations Advisor

You will support and coach managers in all aspects of employee relations, providing business focused, consistent and timely advice in accordance with employment law and HR procedures, with a focus on management and resolution of Employee Relations (ER) issues.

This role is a 6 month FTC

What you will be delivering

  • Provide advice, triage, case management & administrative support for all ER cases
  • Managing ER cases through to resolution, escalating more complex cases if necessary
  • Providing clear guidance to managers regarding their responsibilities within a process
  • Attending formal hearings where necessary
  • Drafting clear, well-structured outcomes with and on behalf of managers
  • Managing TUPE transfers where required from an HR perspective,
  • Supporting People Partners
  • Drafting and administering settlement agreements
  • Managing short and long-term sickness
  • Challenging managers to take responsibility for managing staff effectively, assisting and coaching where appropriate
  • Provide mediation where required

The ideal applicant for this role will have experience of:

  • Working within an employee relations team, with a strong delivery focus
  • Substantial experience of dealing with complex case management through to resolution
  • Restructuring, redundancy and TUPE
  • Tribunal case preparation
  • Good understanding of employment law and application
  • Settlement agreements
  • A customer focus and value driven approach in providing employee experience /HR services
  • Ability to travel to support cases if required
