Join our client, a leading public sector organisation, as a Partnerships and Commissioning Manager (Employment Specialist) to make a significant impact in the Wandsworth, Richmond, and Kingston communities. In this temporary role for 6 months, you will lead and develop major partnerships while commissioning and contract managing employment support services.Hybrid min 2 days per week onsite - open to remote working STC. Will be required for team meetings and to engage with partners. Management of 2 leads.

Experience of The Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) & Individual Placement and Support (IPS) with (IAPT) essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with statutory organisations, colleges, training providers, community groups, and senior community representatives.
  • Collaborating with other council teams to create partnership arrangements supporting employment and skills objectives.
  • Negotiating with Prime Contractors to oversee external employment support provisions and ensure alignment with local priorities.
  • Staying up to date with regional and national policy changes to ensure relevant provisions.
  • Identifying potential stakeholders/partners to address service gaps.
  • Leading external funding bids and new project development in the employment and skills agenda.
  • Establishing and overseeing procurement processes for commissioned services.
  • Supporting audit and compliance activities.
  • Developing support tools and delivering training to external partners.
  • Managing the Access to Training function of our client's team.

Requirements:

  • Strong partnership development and management skills.
  • Knowledge of government-funded initiatives and employment support programmes.
  • Experience in bidding for external funding and managing partnerships.
  • Ability to oversee procurement processes and contracting frameworks.
  • Understanding of compliance and audit requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
