A Central Government organisation is on an ambitious journey of transformation, involving large-scale change. They are seeking a People Change Consultant to create and establish plans for this change, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels to achieve our transformation ambitions on a fixed term basis of 12 months.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide highly specialist change management expertise, advice, guidance, and challenge within large and transformational programmes of work.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teams and the wider organisation to influence and shape change initiatives and programmes.
  • Drive the right change outcomes across various transformation programmes to maximise business benefit, minimise resistance, and effectively embed change.
  • Make recommendations and take ownership for interventions and activities that ensure people are ready for change and can effectively handle resistance.
  • Manage complex conversations and influence at all levels, embedding a relational and people-centred approach to change.
  • Deliver practical and impactful change solutions, leveraging innovative thinking to lead change initiatives effectively.
  • Support the creation and implementation of change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training.
  • Analyse and manage the organisation-wide change landscape, ensuring effective prioritisation and management of change.
  • Evaluate the impact of change initiatives, measuring key performance indicators and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level (RFQ Level 6) or equivalent by experience; CIPD or Change Management qualification desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of leading change and practical experience of applying project and programme management approaches.
  • Expert knowledge in Change Management frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits – including Prosci and ADKAR.
  • Knowledge and experience of organisational development theories in complex environments or transformation programmes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage with diverse audiences and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in managing change programmes and projects, developing business cases, and creating mitigation plans.
