Conservation Architect Job in Chiswick, London

Conservation Architect job is now available! The opportunity to work on an array of conservation and private residential projects throughout the UK across all project stages!

Join a well-established, RIBA Chartered practice known for its high-quality conservation and bespoke residential projects. Based in a characterful studio in London, this close-knit team of Architects is dedicated to delivering beautiful and historically respectful architectural projects, and they're now looking for an experienced Project Architect to join them.

As a key member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with an AABC accredited Architect on exciting projects, including conservation work at Bedford Park, as well as historic refurbishments like the Brunel Pumping Station. This role offers a collaborative and hands-on environment where your ideas are welcomed, and your expertise in conservation will be highly valued.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver conservation and high-end residential projects across all RIBA stages
  • Produce detailed 2D drawings and hand sketches, including construction detailing and conservation documentation
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure project quality, particularly on listed buildings and heritage sites
  • Liaise with local councils, planning authorities, and consultants to secure consents and approvals
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Architect with a conservation background and a minimum of 5 years post-Part III experience
  • Proven experience with conservation projects, including listed buildings and historic sites
  • The studio uses Vectorworks, however, this isn't essential and full training will be provided
  • Strong hand sketching skills
  • Confident in managing projects independently and handling client relationships
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the UK
  • Passion for conservation and historical buildings.
