Senior Architect Job in Battersea, London

Senior Architect job available in Battersea, London! This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to take the next step in their career! This role offers full project running responsibilities and continued progression as they grow in staff numbers!

Our client is a London-based architectural firm providing full architectural services from RIBA stages 0 to 7 and specialises in bespoke design and development of high-end residential projects throughout London, in locations such as Belgravia and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Due to growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Architect to take the lead in the running of projects from initial client brief through to completion on site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To run private/high-end residential projects across all RIBA stages (0 - 7) in London
  • The practice has several ongoing projects and a couple of new exciting projects that you would immediately be involved in; for example a Mews House with a basement in Kensington at RIBA stage 4
  • Help manage and mentor more junior team members
  • Liaison with contractors on site
  • Client meetings (new and existing)
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects using AutoCAD
  • Report to the directors on the progress of projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must be Part III Qualified & ARB registered, with a minimum of 2 year's professional working experience in a UK practice
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of project running experience, ideally on London-based projects within the high-end residential sector
  • Proven experience working on residential projects in London, ideally private/bespoke/listed properties
  • Demonstrate confident presentation skills and design team communication
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp is preferred but not essential
  • Great organisation skills with the capacity to prioritise workloads
  • Strong flair for design and to be technically minded with a good eye for bespoke detailing
  • Not essential, but candidates with interiors and high-end basement experience are a bonus
  • Confident in working autonomously and showing a proactive attitude
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What you get back

  • 48,000 - 55,000
  • Office hours are 9am to 6pm
  • 21 days per year exclusive of bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year
