Community Retrofit Officer
Location: London (Hybrid)

Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in London to facilitate the appointment of a Community Retrofit Officer on an interim basis for 12 months.

This role will support the council's commitment to achieving net zero by delivering retrofit projects across the community. The officer will work closely with residents, local businesses, and stakeholders to promote energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and tackle fuel poverty. The project is at a key stage, with upcoming initiatives including a group solar buying scheme, energy efficiency grants, and the development of retrofit policies.



Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Engage with homeowners, businesses, and community groups to promote retrofit initiatives.
  • Coordinate and oversee energy efficiency projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical advice on energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.
  • Identify and manage funding opportunities to support retrofit initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and community outreach programs to raise awareness of energy efficiency.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement retrofit policies.


To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience in community engagement, project management, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, retrofit technologies, and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of funding opportunities and grant applications for energy efficiency projects.
  • A passion for sustainability and a commitment to tackling climate change.
  • Previous experience working within a Local Authority setting.
