Responsibilities:As the Community Safety & Corporate Resilience Manager, you will:

  • Lead projects to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes in community safety initiatives.
  • Manage the Council's Emergency Planning & Corporate Resilience Team.
  • Develop partnerships with local agencies to reduce crime and enhance public safety.
  • Oversee the preparation of performance reports and monitor service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice on community safety legislation and policies.
  • Coordinate responses to critical incidents and community safety issues.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong understanding of crime reduction and community safety legislation.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a community safety or corporate resilience role.
  • Proven project management skills and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to produce detailed reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective partnership working.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in multi-agency working and community engagement.
  • Familiarity with emergency planning frameworks and best practises.
  • Relevant qualifications in public safety or emergency management.

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring tools.
