Job Description

Are you passionate about managing energy client relationships and operational delivery?

Our client, arapidly expanding consultancy, is looking for a dedicatedEnergy Account Managerto join their dynamic team who will work proactively with a portfolio of energy clients, ensuring they make informed decisions, arrange energy contracts at the optimal times, and receive accurateutility bill validation. You will also deliver comprehensive reports on consumption, emissions, and reduction strategies.


In this role, you will:

  • Client Account Management:Manage complex client relationships, coordinate with internal teams, proactively meet client needs, and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery while exploring opportunities for growth.
  • Energy Procurement: Understand and communicate market fundamentals for informed client decisions, manage fixed and flexible energy procurement, support Net Zero goals with renewable procurement, analyze tenders and supplier offers, address supplier objections promptly, and efficiently handle site additions and Change of Tenancies (COTs).
  • Bill Validation and Reporting:Collect consumption data, create benchmarks, run standard and custom reports, write performance reports, produce annual SECR reports, and coordinate with internal teams for next steps like energy audits.
  • Invoice Validation:Collect and analyze supplier invoices, investigate anomalies, handle supplier queries, prepare energy cost budgets and invoice validation reports, manage meters, and ensure correct billing for COTs.


Job Requirements

  • Experienced inutility contract negotiation, tendering, and analysis across gas, electricity, and water, with a deep understanding of wholesale energy markets.
  • Skilled inbill validationfor large multisite portfolios, with strong prioritization and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, and communication, and highly competent in MS Excel and the MS Office Suite.
