Allen & York are delighted to be working with an international law firm as they look to recruit an Environment Sustainability Manager to join their London Team and work with Senior Managers to implement the Environmental Strategy. Integral to the company's success, they're looking for someone who can drive behaviour change, find efficiencies in their energy usage, reduce carbon emissions and ultimately their environmental impact.

This is an exciting time to join the business as they're just about to enter a period of refurbishment of their 100-year-old offices in the centre of London, so your sustainability expertise will be put into use immediately to help ensure the refurbishment complies with environmental legislation and that as many energy efficient measures are implemented.

Managing two Environmental Managers and an Advisor, previous experience of having managed Team will be required, as will your ability to manage a number of initiatives at the same time and have the confidence to make decisions. This is very much a hands-on role where you'll lead and manage the company's ISO14001 and 50001 certifications, including conducting internal audits and overseeing external audits, you'll ensure compliance with environmental legislation and you'll be the leading subject matter expert. In addition, you'll be invited into client meetings to advise them on sustainability and ESG issues, so you will have the technical credibility and gravitas to speak to senior managers and to discuss a range of sustainability issues, as well as liaising with people of all levels internally.

Based in Central London, you will be office based but there may some opportunity to work remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environment and sustainability professional who's worked either in Facilities or Estates Management and is keen to work with internal stakeholders to modernise the building and to continue to implement the environmental strategy and promote sustainability.
