Overview:
My client, a leading UK based IT Services & Consulting organisation, is seeking a Business Objects Developer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the PowerBI offering, ensuring that data projects are delivered in a structured and efficient manner to end users. You will work with various BI tools, including Business Objects, PowerBI, and SQL, to optimize data management and reporting systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong BI development and cloud data warehousing experience who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize Business Objects reports and dashboards for various BI projects.
- Enhance the Patch Management Reporting process, identifying and addressing business logic gaps.
- Design and support data models, including creating and modifying Oracle stored procedures.
- Manage incident tickets (e.g., JIRA) and ensure effective issue resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure smooth reporting solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing Business Objects systems (Universes and Reports).
- Work with Change Management tools like ServiceNow and Microsoft applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in Business Objects v4.3 and SQL query development.
- Strong expertise in cloud data warehousing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker).
- Proven financial services experience.
- Ability to design and document data models and manage reporting frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with Change Management tools like ServiceNow.
