Enterprise Architect – Financial Services – Up to £110k – City of London - HybridOverview:We are currently partnered with one of the world’s leading financial institutions who offer a broad range of services, including commercial banking, trust banking, securities, credit cards, consumer finance, and asset management. As an Enterprise Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the strategic architecture for the organisation's EMEA region and International Securities business. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of both technology and business processes, ensuring that the organisation's architecture aligns with its long-term strategic objectives.Role & Responsibilities:Architecture & Delivery:
  • Define, implement, and manage processes to govern the organisation’s enterprise architecture.
  • Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Work across application, infrastructure (cloud and on-premises), data, and security domains.
  • Develop and maintain architectural assets to support decision-making and regulatory requests.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project designs, business-as-usual (BAU) changes, and other initiatives that impact the technology architecture.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and track the progress of the technology strategy, providing regular status updates.
  • Produce management information (MI) and metrics, driving improvements across the organization.
  • Monitor and apply industry innovations and trends to the business’ architecture.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Risk & Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory controls.
  • Follow strict change management and privileged production access processes.
Culture & Leadership:
  • Promote core values-led culture, embracing diversity and inclusion.
  • Cultivate a dynamic, delivery-focused environment that partners with business units to provide responsive, value-driven solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships across the business, building a robust peer network and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in architectural roles within multi-entity, multi-regional financial services organizations.
  • Expertise in working with senior stakeholders across both business and technology functions.
  • In-depth experience reviewing and challenging cloud-based solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
  • Extensive experience conducting design reviews.
  • Hands-on experience with architecture modelling and associated tools (BizzDesign preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of applications, services, and processes within financial services.
  • Experience designing complex technology solutions in regulated environments.
  • Good understanding of software development practices and project delivery lifecycles.
  • Expertise in cloud-based technologies and architecture review processes.
Package:
  • Up to £110,000 basic salary
  • Up to 20% discretionary bonus
