This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to play a key role creating and delivering effective press campaigns and identifying new opportunities to develop the organisation and increase engagement.

Role responsibilities:

  • To plan and deliver successful PR and Media campaigns.
  • Generating news, features and other written content for key internal and external publications, digital, and wider communications channels.
  • Overseeing all media communications.
  • Respond to all media enquiries.
  • Writing and distributing timely and accurate media releases.
  • Identifying and create stories that drive awareness and positive coverage of organisation.
  • Grow, nurture and manage relationships with key journalists, including key media contacts, trade press and bloggers.
  • Identify external speaking opportunities for College spokespeople, for example, external conferences.
  • To work with Director of HR and Director of Marketing and Communications to develop a staff communications strategy and framework to aid effective internal communications.
  • To support on internal communication delivery when needed.


Skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with an equivalent level of experience.
  • Proven experience of working at a senior level in a Press and PR role.
  • Proven experience of managing PR, media and social media campaigns.
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing successful Press, PR and online campaigns and understanding how PR feeds into the marketing plan.
  • Experience of developing corporate publications.
  • Experience of working within a membership body or health related organisation.
  • Able to build and maintain productive and effective relationships with internal and senior level external contacts.


The ideal person for this role will have a proven track record of developing marketing campaigns for health professional and consumer audiences, collaborating with creative specialists and identifying new exciting Press and Media opportunities for an organisation.
