Building Physics Engineer - M&E Contractor

Are you passionate about sustainable building design and energy efficiency? A leading M&E Design & Build Contractor is looking for a Building Physics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across commercial, residential, data centres, retail, and pharmaceutical sectors, contributing to the development of energy-efficient, low-carbon buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct dynamic thermal modelling and energy performance analysis using IES-VE or similar tools.
* Perform Part L, TM52, TM54, and TM59 assessments to ensure compliance with building regulations.
* Lead overheating analysis, daylight studies, and thermal comfort assessments.
* Provide technical input on Whole Life Carbon (WLC) and Embodied Carbon assessments.
* Work closely with MEP engineers, architects, and sustainability consultants to integrate energy-efficient strategies into designs.
* Support BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and NABERS assessments where required.
* Stay updated on building regulations, net zero carbon strategies, and industry best practices.

About You:
* Degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
* 2+ years experience in a Building Physics or Energy Modelling role.
* Proficiency in IES-VE, TAS, DesignBuilder, or similar simulation tools.
* Strong knowledge of Part L, TM52, TM54, TM59, and SAP/SBEM assessments.
* Passion for low-carbon, high-performance building design.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
