A globally impactful charity is recruiting a Global Programme Coordinator to lead the coordination and expansion of an international program of work that will support Environmental Defenders (EDs), environmental activists, Indigenous communities, and investigative journalists across the Global South.

This is an incredibly rare opportunity for a highly organised, driven, and pragmatic professional to support inspirational grassroots leaders on the frontline who are addressing the challenges to our shared planet, biodiversity, and connected human rights.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with our teams in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, you will initially focus on building capacity by providing EDs with essential equipment, including drones and video cameras, as well as coordinating and leading the delivery of bespoke training relating to film, research, advocacy, and media strategies.

Your expert coordination will enable EDs to build outreach and advocacy skills as they document and resolve threats to their natural world and human rights.

It is crucial to the long-term success of our programmes that continue to identify great people and organisations who will benefit from our support by joining our ecosystem of Environmental Defenders, while also actively improving internal processes to enhance wider operational and programmatic efficiencies.

Over time, this position will also take on growing line management responsibilities.

The Global Programme Coordinator will be an effective multitasker and experienced project coordinator, emboldened to help shape the future of environmental activism and advocacy worldwide.

Effective in leading successful projects and building productive relationships remotely, you will harness your first-class communication skills to influence, bring people together, and convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
