Irwin and Colton are pleased to have been engaged by an industry-leading facilities management organisation who are looking to bring on board a new Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality. The vacancy is absolute paramount to the safety strategy, company-wide, and will specifically focus on leading the strategy as they provide FM services to the rail industry. The role reports to the Group HSEQ Director, as well as managing a number of direct reports.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on the HSEQ in a professional and dynamic working environment, for one of the UK's fastest growing FM organisations.

Responsibilities of the Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality will include:

  • Leading on all engagement with key stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to board level across the clients
  • Leading closely with the wider business areas in the development and delivery of health and safety strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally
  • Overseeing the assessment and development of the health and safety management systems and compliance to ensure that it reflects best practice
  • To analyse risk across the region and then drive strategy to mitigate those risks

The successful Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality will have:

  • Proven experience within a similar industry (facilities management / property / rail)
  • Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels of organisations, up to board level
  • NEBOSH diploma qualified (or equivalent) and relevant membership of a professional body (e.g. Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards)
  • Strong working understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
  • Strong experience managing a team of QHSE professionals and working with contractors
