Sustainability Executive - Construction£40,000 - £45,000City – HybridOur client is a construction/fit out organisation looking for an experienced Sustainability Executive who can ‘hit the ground running’ on multiple live projects.This role will offer and fund BREEAM AP Qualification in time. You will be experienced in delivering BREEAM projects to achieve business goals. You will be working to deliver ESG strategies and ensuring they are inline with green building accreditations including SKA Rating and WELL. THE ROLE
  • Deliver training to project teams and subcontractors, including how to record sustainability data on the ESG software, to recognise environmental aspects and impacts and update environmental records required for project sustainability accreditations such as BREEAM.
  • Collate and review project certification evidence to ensure compliance with accreditation criteria such as BREEAM and SKA Rating. Provide feedback and routes to compliance to subcontractors and project teams.
  • Liaise with the project teams and subcontractors to communicate project sustainability targets. Ensure that ESG objectives are implemented and that the project is legally compliant with environmental legislation.
  • Calculate project targets in alignment with the ESG Strategy and assist the site team in taking action to ensure these are met, including monitoring and reporting requirements via ESG monitoring software.
  • Carry out regular ESG inspections on site, making sure these are communicated to the project team and subcontractors for information and action, and follow up any non-conformances.
  • Review Construction Phase Plans, air quality plans and site waste management plans in alignment with project sustainability targets.
  • Liaise with accreditation assessors to review project compliance, sustainability evidence requirements and follow the project accreditation process.
  • Liaise with clients/ professional teams, through meetings & producing project sustainability reports.
  • Contribute to developing and improving environmental measuring and recording techniques in alignment with ISO14001.
  • Communicate sustainability issues and performance to site teams (via team meetings, project reports and sustainability information posters on site).
  • Support the Head of Sustainability by contributing to the development of the ESG Strategy.
  • Contribute to winning work e.g. PQQs, tenders, interviews.
THE PERSON:
  • BREEAM AP Qualification attained
  • At least 3 years experience delivering BREEAM certified projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge on Construction Sustainability accreditation
  • Excellent communication skills across many stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering presentations and reports
