Senior Cybersecurity Specialist – up to £65,000

London/ Hybrid

VIQU are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our client’s team. As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing security procedures and supporting governance, risk and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse security events, incidents, and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Facilitate external penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems, services and applications.
  • Support Third Party Security Assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective security controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide security awareness training to employees and promote a security-conscious culture.
  • Support compliance efforts, including ISO 27001 and other relevant frameworks.
  • Participate in incident response activities and contribute to security incident investigations.
  • This role will focus on security implementation but will also have an element of Governance, Risk and Compliance strategies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in security analysis, risk management, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and other relevant security frameworks.
  • Experience in managing Microsoft Entra ID & M365 – Intune, Microsoft Defender, Purview.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, GRC processes and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platform security technologies.
  • Experience with security assessment and Monitoring tools. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
