What will you be doing as a Conference Producer?

  • The Conference Producer role is varied and fast-paced.
  • Research the market to identify conference topics, themes, and challenges and produce a powerful agenda that addresses the needs of the industry. Create engaging, content driven and innovative agendas
  • Find and secure the best speakers to help your agenda shine, utilising your network of industry experts and leaders. Seek referrals and build your network. Meet your speaker targets.
  • Build strong relationships with key industry professionals
  • Driving the event forward, collaborating, motivating and supporting colleagues in sales, operations and marketing teams, and sharing updates and insights.
  • Attending the conference on the day, supporting the team, attendees and sponsors
  • Post-event analysis
  • Develop ideas for future events, strategies to grow your events and continue to improve the event experience each year
  • Keep the CRM updated and any relevant admin
  • Attend/lead internal and external meetings.

The person

This Conference Producer role would suit a commercially minded, creative, motivated and resourceful graduate with Conference Production experience or around 1 year of b2b commercial business experience. This is a challenging position, that offers responsibility and long term career progression.

As a Conference Producer, you will be talking with business professionals and leaders every day, it’s a big part of your job, and you need to be confident, credible and able to absorb information and communicate effectively.

  • An ambitious graduate with a 2:1 or a 1st Degree
  • 1+ years of business related experience is required. You will have worked with clients in a professional business environment such as recruitment, sales or research.
  • You will have outstanding professional communication skills (written and spoken), be comfortable leading meetings and speaking in public and be a natural relationship builder.
  • Confident meeting deadlines
  • Able to take responsibility and work calmly under pressure
  • Excellent organisation, time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, you need to be confident in building and managing internal and external relationships
  • Commercial mindset
  • Team orientated and able to lead a project
