Conference Producer - Investment Publisher

Salary up to £40,000 (dependant on experience) + 6-8k bonus

London 1-2 days office - some international travel

My client is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious conference producer to join a B2B media company in the City of London and work across a portfolio of award-winning events. They are looking for a dynamic conference producer to develop compelling programs and build long-term relationships with our community. The successful candidate will have the ability to work on multiple events in parallel, prioritize the most critical tasks and deliver events to a high standard, the events include conferences, breakfast briefings, round-tables, training seminars and webinars, delivered both virtually and in person.

THE ROLE

• Project manage each event from start to finish

• Be responsible for events hitting financial and attendance targets

• Conduct thorough community research to develop new agendas and events

• Build and maintain relationships with leading speakers and research contacts

• Ensure all tasks as an events producer are done on time and to the highest quality

• Writing copy and working with the marketing team to promote on social media

• Keep content on the conference websites up-to-date with event information

• Run all pre-and-post-event briefing calls with sponsors and speakers

• Work closely with sponsorship team to deliver high-quality sponsor content

• Ensure smooth delivery of the event onsite or virtually with the help of the team

• Keep event formats fresh by updating the content and format year on year

• Contribute positively with ideas to improve existing processes and products

• Launch brand new conferences for new and existing audiences

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and profile:

• 1-3 years’ experience producing content for conferences and content-led events

• Comfortable being on the phone - this role requires a lot of telephone research

• Ability to research a new topic and get to grips with audience needs quickly

• Driven to exceed targets - comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines

• Proactive, self-motivated, organized, independent and a problem solver

• Commercial acumen and interest in finding new niches and opportunities

• Adaptable to different situations and is a collaborative team player

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
