Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Events Manager to join a lovely charity produce their very first Garden at the Chelsea Flower show. 

 

This 5 month contract will need to start in the coming weeks, and may start part time and build up nearer the event, although full time is an option if you need full time. 

 

We are looking for a seasoned professional with confident stakeholder management skills to work with high profile stakeholders and sponsors, whilst leading the team and delivering the project.

 

Experience:

Essential:

Proven experience in both event and project management.

Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams effectively.

Experience of donor cultivation and stewardship.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management and event coordination.

Experience in working with media and communications teams to secure and maximise publicity, including drafting press materials and liaising with journalists.

A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.

Appreciation for heritage organisations, with the ability to align projects with their values and traditions.

IT competent with event management software, Excel, Access and Word

 

Desirable:

Familiarity with high-profile events, particularly the Chelsea Flower Show or similar exhibitions.

Experience working with volunteers and community representatives.

An understanding of and sensitivity to working with the veteran community, ensuring their participation is meaningful and respectful.
