THE ROLE

Due to their ongoing success, they are now looking to hire a Conference & Logistics Manager to act as the conduit between Show Directors, Marketing Managers, Operations teams, suppliers and speakers to ensure each conference runs smoothly.

A broad role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Training, developing and managing a minimum of 1 direct report
  • Liaising with event teams to confirm theatre capacities and specific AV requirements.
  • Providing AV suppliers with a detailed briefs of AV requirements and ensuring quotes received are accurate based on those requirements.
  • Negotiating with AV suppliers to ensure best prices without compromising on quality
  • Ensuring operations budgets are kept up to date with AV costs
  • Staging set design
  • Day to day liaison with speakers
  • Managing speaker fees and expenses in line with event budgets
  • Managing speaker accommodation schedules
  • Liaising with marketing and operations teams to ensure all are aware of speaker requirements
  • Compiling and coordinating staff schedules in collaboration with Event Directors and Operations teams.
  • Conducting post-event reporting and analysis.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have similar experience gained from working within a conference environment and have a proven background of supporting in corporate events. Candidates must be client facing and would benefit from experience in supplier management. You will possess the ability to work on your own initiative, provide leadership for direct reports, multi-task and prioritise within very tight deadlines.
