We are currently looking for an Events Manager to join an international organisation to lead on the delivery of corporate events. As Events Manager you’ll be responsible for organising a range of corporate and challenge fundraising events in their numerous regions and ensuring the development of a sector-leading events programme

Key duties:

  • Assist the Senior Events Manager in the planning and delivery of challenge events, Galas, Award Dinners and more
  • Manage team registration process, including processing invoices and follow up on outstanding payments for team registrations, sponsorship and team fundraising
  • Work with the Senior Events Manager and Communications Teams on pre-event communications with the participants
  • Attend committee meetings, taking responsibility for ensuring agreed actions are taken forward
  • Liaise with the resort to arrange all onsite logistics (e.g. accommodation, catering, equipment)
  • With the Senior Event Manager, source and book venues
  • Manage event attendees, invitations, RSVP’s and pre and post event communications
  • Work with the Communications Team on marketing and branding for the events
  • Manage external suppliers management including AV, catering, entertainment, florists, photographer, merchandise
  • Manage event budgets including tracking income and expenditure, invoicing, ticket sales and supplier costs
  • Leading the end to end management of an annual festival/carol event held by HRH in which you would be in charge of the above plus the event information page, liaise with Secretary General on the structure of the service, liaise with Buckingham Palace team and coordinate all related aspects relating to HRH’s attendance

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven strong track record in end to end event management roles
  • Experience managing multiple events concurrently from planning to completion, within the timeframe
  • Experience of managing a broad spectrum of events of varying degrees of complexity and where attendee numbers could be up to 300+
  • Proven experience of delivering successful, high profile, fundraising events
  • Ability to successfully market events
  • Experience of managing budgets effectively and efficiently
  • Working knowledge of the current Codes of Fundraising practice
  • Strong interpersonal skills including networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including confident and professional presentation skills to smaller groups
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office - particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint - and experience of using client databases such as Raiser’s Edge
