Event Planner £15-19p/h Surrey, UKASAP Start, 11-month temp A fantastic opportunity arose with my client, a global managing consultancy with beautiful offices in Surrey. They are looking for an Event Planner with responsibility for exhibit operations, service delivery and sponsorship fulfilment for the client’s global conference portfolio. You would be responsible for the development, management and execution of various conference elements relating to exhibits and sponsorship.This is a hybrid position with candidates needing to be in the Surrey office at least once per week or more. There is also an opportunity to travel in this role. Typical hours are 9 am – 5 pm most days, with flexibility if needed. What you'll do:
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of virtual events, including registration setup, coordination with internal teams, and day-of execution.
  • Train program partners on virtual event technologies, processes, and resources to ensure smooth execution.
  • Develop innovative strategies to enhance audience engagement using feedback from past events.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies to streamline processes and scale virtual event delivery.
  • Collaborate with global conference teams to refine workflows and improve processes.
  • Manage special projects aimed at enhancing virtual event products and operations.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience with a results-driven attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiar with virtual event platforms such as Webex and Zoom.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
  • Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, manage priorities effectively, and work across multiple regions.
  • Skilled at managing senior executives, innovating workflows, and solving problems proactively with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong service orientation, interest in virtual event planning, and a demonstrated record of professional achievement
