We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager oversee the organisation and management of multiple exhibition projects for our event.
This role involves working from conception through to completion, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to deliver operational excellence and good ROI.

Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage the operational delivery of several events/projects from conception through to completion.
- Plan and execute operational and logistical elements with the Head of Operations, VP, and wider team.
- Brief and tender for exhibition elements and present to decision-makers.
- Coordinate closely with sales and marketing on branding for onsite requirements.
- Manage suppliers and providers onsite, ensuring the successful fulfilment of exhibition elements.
- Handle the technical aspects of events, including catering, internet, signage, and feature areas.
- Conduct site visits to ensure venues are fit for purpose and manage onsite freight, traffic, and security requirements.
- Create and update show floor plans and assist with the production of Exhibitor Manuals and Information sheets.
- Manage ad hoc projects such as Evening Functions or Roadshows, from sourcing venues to negotiating with service providers.
- Analyse event operations post-shows to prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies in future events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in international conferences and exhibitions.
- IOSH Certification
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software is helpful.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce to raise purchase orders and manage supplier profiles.
- Detailed knowledge of small to large scale operations and Health & Safety best practices.
- Strong negotiating and contract management skills.
- Proficient in project management; able to oversee/manage multiple projects.
- Sound commercial awareness with experience in managing budgets for events.
- Ability to network and liaise with senior people, trade bodies, associations, and diverse cultures.
