Technical Event Manager / Production Manager

A rapidly growing events agency is seeking a skilled Technical Event Manager / Production Manager to join their dynamic team delivering live, hybrid, and virtual events across the globe.

This agency specialises in creating interactive and innovative experiences for a wide range of events, including conferences, product launches, award ceremonies, and workshops. With a strong focus on creativity and seamless execution, they manage every aspect of event planning, production, and technology to bring ambitious concepts to life.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project management and event delivery. While the team primarily works remotely, the role includes onsite collaboration at venues and broadcast studios in London, across the UK, and internationally.

Role Responsibilities

The Technical Event Manager will oversee the planning, technical delivery, and execution of events, ensuring every detail is covered. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple projects and taking full ownership of production delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining event documentation, including tracking progress via Monday.com.
  • Coordinating with:
    • Production Teams: Preparing call sheets, technical run-of-show documents, and providing hands-on technical support onsite.
    • Exhibitors: Organising equipment such as TVs, iPads, and tracking systems.
    • Speakers: Collecting and editing presentations, managing pre-recordings, and delivering technical briefings.
    • Venues: Managing insurance, RAMs, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Leading project calls with clients and stakeholders.
  • Building relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive rates and resolve issues.
  • Managing production budgets, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring financial compliance.
  • Populating, building, and testing event platforms and apps (e.g., EventsAir, CrowdComms, Remo).
  • Conducting technical site visits and overseeing suppliers such as AV teams and set builders.
  • Developing robust production schedules and contingency plans.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional events.

Key Skills and Experience
  • A proven background in event production, ideally within an agency or streaming provider.
  • Strong technical expertise in streaming, hybrid, and in-person event delivery.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with event platforms (e.g., EventsAir, CrowdComms) is an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused under pressure.
Additional Skills
  • Experience in interactive content creation and workshop planning.
  • Hands-on technical experience in AV roles.
