Le Choux was founded in 2016 by pastry chef Abigail Scheuer. We are now based in Ladbroke Grove, where we have an open plan bakery atelier and pastry counter. Our speciality is choux pastries, filled with a variety of fillings. We are also cookie and cake specialists, with a focus on quality, freshness, and sustainability. Our small kitchen is female founded, safe, inclusive space where our team can thrive.
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate all rounder, who has experience in customer service and a keen eye for detail. We are specifically looking for someone who is passionate about all things pastry and patisserie, who is keen to help us grow with both our retail and e-commerce.
This is a varied and dynamic role perfect for someone who thrives on wearing many hats.Youll lead in-store operations and brand growth, all while ensuring day-to-day excellence and supporting our small, passionate team. The role will include a mixture of office and administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the bakery.

What Youll Do:
Shop Operations & Customer Excellence
Print and manageweb orders, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation.
Answeremails and phone calls, including taking phone orders with care and precision.
Order allpackaging and ingredients, ensuring price checks for cost efficiency.
Keep the shopwell-stocked, clean, and visually stunningat all times.
Step in to purchase urgent supplies locally if a delivery falls through.
Ensure clearcommunication with customersabout deliveries, pickups, and special orders.
Talk to customers about private and corporate orders/events with professionalism and warmth.
Writeweekly staff rotasand manage day-to-day staffing needs.
Team Management & Training
Lead by example, stepping in to support sales when needed.
Train thefront-of-house teamto deliver outstanding customer service with a focus on quality and excellence.
Help withrecruitment and onboardingof new team members as needed.
Communicate with the pastry chef team about new products, events and customer orders.
Growth & Brand Development
Collaborate with the founder toplan and execute eventslike workshops and pop-ups.
Help withproduct costingsto ensure profitability while maintaining quality.
Contribute tobranding and marketing efforts, including creating campaigns and partnerships.
- Creating deeper connections with our events partners and writing propositions for events
- Assisting withnew product developmentand brand growth through extending our sales channels and considering new sales avenues (postal, retail etc)
Health, Safety & Compliance
Keep up to date withhealth and safety regulations, including allergen compliance, and ensure these are communicated to staff and customers.
