Our client, a prominent city-based law firm, is seeking an Executive Assistant for a 1-year maternity cover contract. This dynamic and hands-on position involves providing dedicated support to the Head of Department. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, proactive EA who values a supportive and personable work environment and can adapt flexibly while using their initiative. Please note due to this being a maternity cover, this role will commence in February 2025.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactive diary and inbox management
  • Organisation of internal and external meetings, client events, and conferences
  • Travel arrangements
  • Supporting with the overall operations and running of the department to include organising of appraisal reviews, department meetings, holiday approval etc
  • Supporting with Business Development
  • Matter management -onboarding new clients and AML checks
  • Billing
  • Preparing and distributing meeting agendas, minutes, and tracking action items
  • Assisting with some personal ad hoc admin support

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience supporting at Senior Partner level
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to plan ahead
  • The ability to act with discretion
  • A flexible approach, strong business acumen with a keen interest in contributing to the firm’s success
