About the Role:As part of the Chief Officer Support team, the Personal Assistant will provide essential administrative support to Camden's leadership. This collaborative role requires close cooperation with other PAs and Officers to effectively manage Directors' time and ensure their strategic priorities are met. Your duties will include managing calendars, emails, meeting logistics, and correspondence, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary & Inbox Management: Organise and coordinate meetings, events, and travel, ensuring Directors' time is used efficiently.
  • Correspondence Management: Handle sensitive emails and communications, escalating urgent matters when necessary.
  • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, distribute papers, and record minutes and actions. Work with senior teams and elected members to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline administrative processes, share best practices, and adopt new technologies.
  • Strategic Alignment: Work with the wider team to align departmental activities with the Council's goals and support Directors' priorities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective and professional communication on behalf of Directors.

Work Environment:This role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the service's changing needs. The primary office location is 5 Pancras Square, but you may also work from Camden Town Hall and other locations within Camden.

Relationships:You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Chief Officers, elected members, internal teams, Camden residents, local businesses, and external partners. You will be exposed to confidential matters and must maintain discretion at all times.
