PA to the Bursar

My client is seeking a professional PA to the Bursar to provide high-level administrative support and manage the Resources Office and Reception staff. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage a busy schedule and ensure smooth operations within the educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and management support to the Bursar, utilising initiative and high standards of professionalism.
  • Manage the Bursar’s diary, travel arrangements, and prepare for all meetings and events.
  • Coordinate and take minutes at key meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Line manage the Receptionist and Resources Officer, including overseeing work schedules and performance.
  • Maintain effective communication with all school departments and external stakeholders.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure compliance with school policies, including safeguarding procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating similar abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience providing senior PA support, ideally within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong organisational and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with all school levels.
  • Ability to plan, resource, and organise projects and tasks efficiently.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (at least 50 wpm).
