Sterling Williams are engaged with a Cross-Border payments organisation, based in London who are looking for a permanent Finance Analyst. This is a role that works from the office 3 days per week, with 2 from home, and will support the global finance and treasury functions. You will likely be CIMA qualified, or part qualified, with a minimum of 3 years experience in Financial analysis, FP&A or as a management accountant - preferably from the Financial Services/FinTech industry.

What you'll be doing:

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations by providing comprehensive analysis, reporting, and forecasting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse financial data.
  • Perform financial forecasting and budgeting, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and economic conditions.

The successful Financial Analyst will likely have:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a global team, as well as independently.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with a strong spirit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field alongside professional qualifications (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent - Studier, Part Qual or fully qualified.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling tools.
  • Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
