We are currently partnered with a Aviation company who are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their Glasgow team. In this role the successful candidate will collaboration across teams in the Business Services and ensure accuracy and integrity of consolidated information. Be the point of contact for all finance consolidation matters across all operating companies, demonstrate a strong understanding of IFRS accounting matters impacting the Group in order to respond to ad-hoc queries from the business.

You will:

  • Support the Group's consolidation activities for external (statutory, regulatory, investor, shareholder) and internal (management) reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Prepare year-end reporting packs for all group entities to facilitate statutory account preparation.
  • Submit consolidation journals for review with appropriate audit support and collaborate with Financial Control, Tax, and Treasury teams to prepare and post journals on time.
  • Conduct validation checks as part of the monthly process and provide external audit evidence as needed.
  • Ensure consistency in financial systems (Oracle Fusion and Oracle ePBCS) by reconciling late journals and maintaining data integrity.
  • Post and calculate central adjustments (e.g., IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, pension, and property revaluations) and perform first-level reviews of valuations and monthly Group cashflows.
  • Resolve intercompany mismatches by running reports, liaising with teams, and posting adjustments via manual journals.
  • Collaborate with the Record to Report team on projects to improve reporting capabilities and adapt to updated accounting standards.
  • Maintain and update process notes, seeking efficiencies and opportunities for automation in reporting tasks.
  • Develop strong working relationships with finance teams, including Financial Control, Tax, Treasury, Internal Control, and BSC Finance.

You will need:

  • Fully or Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ATT).
  • Experience in preparation of IFRS Group accounts and understanding of large group consolidations advantageous.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
