An super exciting opportunity has arisen for an Finance Analyst to play a key role in a luxury retail and fashion brand. The role will be based in the West End (Oxford Circus), and the successful candidate will be contributing significantly to the Accounting & Finance department of a rapidly growing brand. They are looking for a candidate that has used the SAP and has experience working as an Analyst in the fashion industry.

Client Details

The client is a subsidiary of a large retail group and the brand has experienced extremely successful growth over the past few years. They have offices in Milan and Amsterdam, and are now opening a new London office as they start to build out the finance team. As one of the first new hires into the team, you will have exposure to a number of different responsibilities across finance and will be given the chance to work very closely with the Senior FP&A Analyst and the Finance Director. The team will be small, but will be looking to get from a headcount of 3 to 10, by the end of 2025.

The head office is based a short walk from Oxford Circus tube station, and the role is on a hybrid basis. They work 5 out of 10 working days from the office (across 2 weeks).

Description

The successful Finance Analyst will:

  • Optimise the use of financial and business information, develop and prepare local management reports to support Business in decision making
  • Perform the financial reports analysis before monthly closing process finalised by local accounting team
  • P&L analysis
  • Monthly variance analysis - Actual vs Forecast analysis
  • Weekly and monthly sales and expenses analysis - with commentary
  • Assist the Senior Finance Analyst with presenting periodic reports to senior management
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Business partnering with various areas of the business and working closely with the parent company
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Processing invoices and payments to ensure smooth cash flow, and analysing financial data to help manage budgets and suggest ways to reduce costs.
  • Support any other tasks that maybe be necessary and requested

Profile

A successful Finance Analyst should have:

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • MUST have a prior working knowledge of the accounting system SAP
  • MUST be working or have a significant amount of experience in the finance team within a fashion/retail/FMCG business (luxury side is preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively studying towards the ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification - desirable, not essential
