Finance Process Analyst - 9 Month FTC |

Global Professional Services Group, Central London (Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in office) |

Up to £45,000 + bonus + benefits pro-rata |

An opportunity has been created for a Finance Process Analyst to join a leading global £multi-billion turnover Professional Services group, operating within the UK, Europe, US and Asia-PAC markets. They have developed an enviable reputation for outstanding service and delivering innovative products & service solutions. Enjoying continued growth through service and market development, the business delivers challenging assignments for a worldwide blue-chip client base.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Process Analyst

  • Provide finance system support - Offer guidance on policy and process matters to global finance users, including the use of SAP4 Hana and SAP R/3.
  • Develop policies and training materials - Document policies and processes for the Finance manual, assist in training preparation, and communicate changes effectively.
  • Maintain matter management systems - Oversee processes related to matter opening, time recording, billing, and debt collection within SAP4 Hana and SAP R/3, ensuring timely responses and appropriate testing of changes.
  • Manage authorisations and access - Approve and progress access requests in compliance with finance policy, ensuring proper segregation of duties. Conduct periodic authorisation reviews with global finance managers and external auditors.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements - Review system error logs, resolve issues, liaise with other departments, and support technical changes by preparing documentation, coordinating with Technology teams, testing improvements, and communicating updates to local offices.
  • Support finance projects - Assist senior finance colleagues on strategic and BAU projects, contributing to solution testing and user training.

Skills & Attributes of the Finance Process Analyst

  • Finance expertise - knowledge and experience of financial language and or experience of working in a finance team
  • Technical proficiency - Experience with SAP4 Hana and/or SAP R/3 and strong MS Excel skills.
  • Sector knowledge - experience within professional services (with strong skills in matter / case management areas such as billing, e-billing, and cash collection) would be desirable but not essential.
  • Analytical and organisational skills - Ability to prioritise workloads, manage user expectations, and support process improvements.
  • Communication and teamwork - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Business awareness - Understanding of the risks and priorities facing finance teams in a global firm.
