Finance Analyst

We are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing renewable energy investment and asset management firm in London, to recruit for them their next Finance Analyst.

This companies are dedicated to supporting sustainable development through innovative funds and they are seeking a Finance Analyst to enhance their financial operations and contribute to their commitment to sustainability across various sectors of the energy industry.

This role would suit a recently qualified Accountant who has qualified within an energy business or has trained in practice working with energy, renewables or investment & asset management clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Budget and Planning:
    • Collaborate with department heads to gather and consolidate budget inputs.
    • Validate and analyse budget submissions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Reporting:
    • Produce accurate consolidated financial reports for management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and improving design of reports.
    • Create dashboards and visual presentations to communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
  • Data Quality:
    • Implement quality controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and ensure the accuracy of reporting.
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure the consistency of extra-financial data in financial reporting.
  • Process Evolution and Optimisation:
    • Contribute to the continuous development of financial models and implement automation solution and modernise reporting tools.
    • Document the processes linked to various financial reports.
  • Building Financial Models for Projects:
    • Design and construct detailed financial models using Excel or specialized software and develop dynamic models with scenarios
  • Financial Structuring:
    • Evaluate and model various financing options.
    • Determine the optimal capital structure for the project and assess the cost of capital.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in audit, finance consulting, or a corporate role.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant will be required.
  • Master’s degree in finance, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in the use of information systems: Spreadsheets, databases, ERP, etc.
  • Strong command of all MS Office applications and confident in using Power BI.
  • Knowledge of the TM1 tool and renewable energy will he highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of overseas energy markets will be highly regarded
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, plus be highly collaborative and come with excellent organisational skills.
  • Meticulous, consistent, flexible, and adaptive in approach to work.
  • Proficiency in French or willingness to learn French is a plus.
