Are you a dynamic Financial Analyst looking to make a significant impact in the financial services sector? Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to join their Enterprise Capital Management (ECM) team in Chester. This temporary role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, along with extensive benefits.

About the Role:As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing capital across the enterprise. This position involves hybrid working-3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. You'll work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, contributing to a culture of operational excellence while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare capital, RWA, and leverage forecasts under multiple scenarios for key foundational documents.
  • Perform quarterly updates of forecasts and governance materials.
  • Contribute to EU-wide stress testing capital forecasts.
  • Update model documentation adhering to internal policies.
  • Support the development of capital forecasting models aligned with prudential regulations.
  • Draught ICAAP documentation considering relevant UK regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with business lines, Risk, and CFO teams to meet capital management objectives.
  • Participate in initiatives to optimise capital ratios and regulatory strategies.

What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to analyse complex financial data and produce executive-level summaries.
  • Excellent organisational skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, control-focused, and proactive in your approach.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible mindset to adapt to new priorities and build relationships at various levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data/statistical packages.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related discipline (postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CFA or ACA are advantageous).
  • Experience in a regulated credit institution, with practical knowledge of European prudential rules and stress testing.
