Exciting Opportunity: Financial Analyst (12-Month Contract)

Are you a dynamic Financial Analyst looking to make a significant impact in the financial services sector? Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to join their Enterprise Capital Management (ECM) team in Chester. This temporary role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, along with extensive benefits.

About the Role:As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing capital across the enterprise. This position involves hybrid working-3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. You'll work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, contributing to a culture of operational excellence while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare capital, RWA, and leverage forecasts under multiple scenarios for key foundational documents.
Perform quarterly updates of forecasts and governance materials.
Contribute to EU-wide stress testing capital forecasts.
Update model documentation adhering to internal policies.
Support the development of capital forecasting models aligned with prudential regulations.
Draught ICAAP documentation considering relevant UK regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with business lines, Risk, and CFO teams to meet capital management objectives.
Participate in initiatives to optimise capital ratios and regulatory strategies.

What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should have:

Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
The ability to analyse complex financial data and produce executive-level summaries.
Excellent organisational skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented, control-focused, and proactive in your approach.
The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A flexible mindset to adapt to new priorities and build relationships at various levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data/statistical packages.

Qualifications:

Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related discipline (postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CFA or ACA are advantageous).
Experience in a regulated credit institution, with practical knowledge of European prudential rules and stress testing.
