Fixed Income SME – Business Analyst/Product Analyst

Overview

This role is critical to the successful deployment of Repos within the organisation’s Fixed Income division. The Product Analyst will serve as the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Repo enhancements, working closely with various internal teams to expand and integrate the Repo and Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead SME for Triparty Repo enhancements across the Fixed Income platform.
  • Support the deployment, integration, and ongoing development of Repo and SBL products within the organisation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Triparty Repo requirements, producing detailed documentation for development teams.
  • Collaborate with development teams on technical specifications and solutions.
  • Work with QA teams during UAT, and coordinate business engagement for user sign-off.
  • Liaise with various departments including operations, collateral management, risk management, and settlement to ensure alignment across front-to-back project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with settlement processing standards and SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation) requirements for Repo transactions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience implementing or working on the bank’s platform or a similar Repo execution platform.
  • Strong understanding of the Fixed Income business and secured funding products.
  • In-depth knowledge of trading and financing transactions governed by GMRA, GMSLA, and Total Return Swaps (TRS).
  • Hands-on experience in the Securities Lending business.
  • Familiarity with the full suite of Repo and SBL products.
  • Prior experience in a Middle Office or Front Office Fixed Income role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Business Analyst or Project Management initiatives within an investment banking environment.
  • Proven experience producing both business and technical requirements and specifications documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
