Our Client is hiring for a Newly Qualified candidate who can support the Head of FP&A in establishing top-tier FP&A processes that can grow alongside the business.

Description

  • Support the Head of FP&A in leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across the group, collaborating with Finance Business Partners and department heads.
  • Own operating expense and headcount planning for the core Academic business.
  • Build strong relationships with department leaders to ensure accurate inputs for reporting and forecasting.
  • Help business leaders understand key drivers in forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting monthly business reviews to the CFO, COO, and CRO, with a goal of taking full ownership over time.
  • Develop and track KPIs aligned with business goals.
  • Support commercial sales pipeline analysis and provide financial modeling for strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and tools for better accuracy and efficiency.

Profile

  • Recently qualified from practice or with 1 year of post-qualification experience as a chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong academic background (e.g., a 2.1 degree).
  • Willingness to take a hands-on approach, including using key financial systems to deliver high-quality analysis and insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel modeling, including understanding how the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement integrate.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
