Location: Central London

This is a renowned transport and rail group based in central London. With over £2bn of assets under management, they invest heavily into the transportation sector providing quality technology/manufacturing in this field.

As they continue to grow, they are now looking for a top recent graduate to join their Commercial Finance department on a rotational scheme; with opportunity to study and qualify as an Accountant.

Role

The Graduate Finance Analyst will support the commercial and finance functions around high quality analysis. This position will take on a number of key duties including:

  • Supporting periodic internal reporting.
  • Producing commercial analysis and valuation data as part of monthly budgeting processes.
  • Support production of asset management plans.
  • Contribute to financial evaluation of business cases across pricing and strategic opportunities.
  • Support analysis for new franchising, leasing and bidding requests from stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end procedures relating to accounting close.
  • Business partner with internal departments on projects for wider business.
  • Operate financial tools to provide ad hoc analysis when required.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Graduate Finance Analyst position should have the following attributes:

  • Recent 2023/2024 graduate from a technical discipline (Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business etc.)
  • High academic results, 2.1 minimum, ideally from Russell Group universities.
  • Placement year in finance & accounting, or relevant experience in a finance capacity.
  • Confident with Excel and other applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
