Job Title: Group Treasury AnalystLocation: London (Hybrid Working, 3 days in office)Role Purpose & Objective:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst specialising in "front-office" Treasury. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and accurate utilisation of Capital and Liquidity across our Global operations, while being an integral part of our Group Capital Management and Treasury team.Key Responsibilities:Global Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with local Treasury colleagues to ensure alignment of operational cash management and strategic objectives across the Group
  • Participate in Group Treasury projects and initiatives, including maximising the Capital and Liquidity value of our portfolio of Financial Instruments (LOCs, Tier 1 facilities, etc)
  • Share best practices and provide support to regional Treasury teams and the wider Capital Management function as needed

Cash Management:

  • Review of the Entity cash positions, ensuring optimal cash levels across all relevant requirements
  • Monitor medium-term cashflow forecast requirements to maintain liquidity and maximize the use of excess cash
  • Help arrange intercompany fund transfers and manage cash across the Group

Bank Relationships:

  • Help manage relationships with banking partners and support in new or existing facilities
  • Be able to handle urgent deliverables with deadlines, conduct KYC updates and resolve issues promptly

Cash Flow Forecasting:

  • Develop and maintain medium-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
  • Analyse variances between plan and forecasts, providing actionable insights
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data for accurate forecasting

Treasury Process:

  • Assist with the identification and execution of FX trades to ensure Group and Entity exposures are appropriately hedged
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements and enhancements
  • Take ownership and responsibility of ad-hoc tasks assigned and keep the team updated with developments.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular Counterparty Risk, Collateral and FX reports for senior management
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on counterparty exposures, update liquidity/collateral requirements and confirm surplus accurately
  • Assist in the preparation of treasury-related reports for audits and regulatory compliance

Requirements & Skills:

  • Treasury experience within the (re)insurance industry, particularly the "front-office", is desirable
  • Candidates with strong transferable skills from relevant numerical experience in a related industry would also be considered
  • Internationally recognized Treasury, Accounting. or similar designation (e.g. ACT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Treasury and/or relevant Finance processes.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a team orientation
  • Strong work ethic and high energy who strives for excellence
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
