We are currently partnered with a leading pensions organisation, supporting them in their search to appoint a Senior Investment Risk Manager on a permanent basis to assist their team in delivering effective pension & multi-asset investment risk management support.

Initially, the role will focus on providing risk analysis to support the investment strategy and contribute towards the Investment Management’s teams objectives. Working in a small team, you will be involved within all aspects of the investment function.

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining the organisations Investment Risk Framework. This includes: Design and oversight of the Framework, Risk modelling and analysis & Reporting across all key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the analysis of strategic asset allocation, manager selection and scheme-level investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all assets classes with particular focus on their individual risk characteristics and how these assets are combined into portfolios.
  • To be familiar with best practice investment risk management techniques.
  • Contribute towards developing and enhancing the systems (internal and external) and processes used by the team.

In order to be considered for this role; our client is seeking an individual with experience of working at a multi-asset investment manager or inhouse investment function of a large asset owner and has a broad understanding of a range of asset classes (both public and private). Due to the nature of the business, knowledge of UK DB pension schemes and their liabilities is a must.
