Enhance an operational model of an Investment team by focusing on improving internal workflows, processes, data management, and reporting capabilities. Key to this initiative is optimising an existing platform to support the scaling of operations efficiently. The role involves overseeing the derivatives workstream, conducting, and working closely with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, system design, testing, and an implementation of Aladdin.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope Definition: Lead workshops with stakeholders to define high-level objectives and agree on asset classes (FX, Exchange Traded, Credit, Commodity, Equity, Interest Rate) to be included in the project.

  • Detailed Requirements Gathering: Work with users and developers to document detailed business and system requirements. Prepare necessary project artifacts, ensuring all functional and technical aspects are captured.

  • Current & Target State Analysis: Document the current operational state, identify gaps, and define the desired target operating model to ensure optimal processes and workflows.

  • Project Lifecycle Involvement: Be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping and requirements definition to testing (both functional and technical) and the final implementation phase.

  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear communication with Investments & Operations teams to ensure the alignment of project deliverables with business objectives and expectations.

Skills:
  • Business Analysis: Strong skills in gathering and analyzing business requirements, conducting workshops, and documenting system requirements for complex projects in a financial or investment setting.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects across different stages of the lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business needs.

  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding of various asset classes such as FX, Exchange Traded derivatives, Credit, Commodities, Equities, and Interest Rates, essential for scoping and defining requirements.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with investment platforms like BlackRock Aladdin, as well as understanding the technical aspects of system integration and data management for implementing business solutions.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that both technical and non-technical stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project.
