This newly created Junior Treasury Analyst position offers an exciting opportunity to join the treasury team of a forward-thinking organisation. The role focuses on providing support for daily treasury operations, systems administration, and reporting activities. Reporting to the senior Treasury Analyst, this role is designed to provide structured growth and progression for a candidate eager to build their career in corporate treasury.
The position operates on a hybrid working model, with three days a week in the office, ensuring the successful candidate receives hands-on mentorship and exposure to all aspects of the treasury function.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Treasury Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the treasury team with a variety of tasks, including:
Cash Management:
- Prepare the daily cash file by downloading MT940s and updating FX rates.
- Create funding payments and maintain treasury payment templates.
Banking and Systems Administration:
- Administer banking platforms and treasury systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain online banking users, including managing leaver reports and user access.
- Update and maintain bank account signatories as required.
Operational Support:
- Manage the Treasury mailbox, handling queries and requests effectively.
- Maintain and update legacy points of contact with counter-party banks.
- Support Know Your Customer (KYC) requests and documentation.
Reporting and Month-End Processes:
- Assist with the preparation of the Treasury reporting pack.
- Contribute to month-end deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- 1-2 years of experience in finance, ideally with exposure to treasury, cash management, or financial operations.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience using treasury management systems or online banking platforms being a plus.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and progress within the treasury function.
