Our client, an independent, entrepreneurial and well-respected insurance & re-insurance business operating through the Lloyd’s Syndicate, have created a key new role for a dynamic individual to take ownership of all things Operational Resilience.Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, the role will take the lead as the go-to-person in the business for activities related to operational resilience, business continuity and due diligence of third parties to ensure the firm are meeting their regulatory obligations. This includes:
  • Monitoring & reporting on Operational Resilience performance
  • Implementing & defining testing, impact tolerances & materiality thresholds
  • Ensuring third party & outsourcing register is up-to-date
  • Monitoring critical third party & outsourcer performance through an Op Res lens
  • Engaging with ExCo & Heads Of Function
This is a key new role within the firm which you can shape to make your own and operate with autonomy. There is an opportunity to progress and develop in the business with exposure to broader Operational activities, or as the SME within Operational Resilience and Business Continuity. The ideal candidate will be from a financial services background, experienced in operational resilience and business continuity, with exposure to third party management through due diligence activities; possess excellent stakeholder management skills; be an effective communicator; and driven to succeed in a supportive, dynamic and innovative firm with ambitions to grow.
