Sterling Williams are working alongside a specialist Financial Exchange company, who are seeking a Payments Analyst to join the there team.

Person Specification

You will be keen to get involved with all aspects of inbound and outbound payments, growing your payments knowledge along with settlements, reconciliation and FX.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure all processes adhere to legal/regulatory requirements, internal policies and guidelines
  • Escalating outstanding payments within SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS to resolve transaction queries
  • Escalate payment issues where necessary to point of resolution
  • Support the identification and management of service affecting incidents
  • Allocation of incoming and outbound payments accurately and within SLA’s across a range of providers
  • Processing FX, settlements and performing reconcilliations
  • Act as a key internal point of contact for all payment related queries
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written),
  • Contributing to identifying and implementing operational efficienci

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in a Payments role for a financial services business, consumer lending business or retail bank
  • Knowledge and experience of payment platforms within a high volume, high value environment
  • Knowledge of handling payment exceptions and manual payments
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework and AML procedures
  • A positive "can do" attitude and a positive attitude to change
