I am partnered with a global law firm in their search for an experienced Rates Analyst to join their London office on a permanent basis. Working in an experienced rates team this is an excellent opportunity for a rate professional!Day duties of the role:

  • Create and update rate cards and e-billing templates for client pricing proposals and rate submissions.
  • Collect and input financial data, including analysing existing client and matter-level rate information.
  • Review and modify the billing system to ensure client and matter fee arrangements align with the engagement framework and outside counsel guidelines.
  • Enter financial and non-financial data into the firm's systems and evaluate compliance with internal and external budgeting policies.
  • Update and manage the client budget tracking system, auditing existing client budgets weekly for accurate reporting.
  • Onboard new timekeepers into the financial systems.
  • Analyse client and matter-level rate information and respond to timekeeper rate inquiries.
  • Develop Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports to ensure data governance and integrity.
  • Collaborate with the team on testing and developing user acceptance testing (UAT) for new BI reporting tools and system updates.
  • Maintain resources and content on the intranet, collaboration website, and document management system.
  • Work with billing, pricing, and finance teams on rate-related requests.

The right candidate will have:

  • Preferably 3+ years of experience as a business or financial analyst, management accountant, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in professional services or law firms is highly valued.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a preference for fluency in French or German.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Skilled in using MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in developing Business Intelligence and Business Applications (Alteryx and Tableau preferred).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
