A major Central Government body who are going through a period of growth and change to be more efficient and have a bigger influence on decision making.
Description
You will be responsible for providing IFRS 9 advice and guidance along with building and developing financial models. Further responsibilities:
- Support with Audit engagement requirements and responding to queries
- Development and implementation of the Accounting Rules, Chart of Accounts, ledger posting and IFRS 9 disclosures
- Provide technical accounting advice and guidance and developing technical papers (where needed) in accordance with the governance requirements.
- Support transition execution approach and plan, covering the opening balances and comparative financial statements
Profile
The Senior Accounting Analyst will have extensive knowledge of IFRS 9 ideally from a another Public Sector organisation and hold a full accounting qualification. The role requires Security Clearance but candidates who do not hold this are suitable but will need to go through a full vetting process.
Job Offer
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will be paid £700-£800 per day and will be required to be on site 1-2 days a week, the contract will be for 12 months.
